Finally a meaningful debate on British colonialism's legacy and Queen Elizabeth as the symbol of that oppression. Velschi argues that the British empire had a negative role in the history of Africa. QE never disowned that history of tyranny, which was often bloody. Most the media's coverage has been predictably saturated and adulatory. With almost no dissent from the official narrative. And those do not tow the politically correct line being ostracized. The commentators were not intimidated in describing the Queen being the face of that racist colonial past, even as Britain became the Commonwealth.
